$54 Hotel Rooms Atlanta Labor Day 2009 and More !

It’s the last major pride of the season. And on many accounts Atlanta’s Black Pride Celebration on Labor Day Weekend signals the end of the summer. I have personally taken a careless attitude to spending during the weekend since I had saved money throughout the year. But since the economy has reminded me that I need to become a better manager of my financial affairs, I will take some steps to have a great time while spending less. These tips have saved me money in the past and I am confident that you will also say the same.

The Buddy System

Sharing the cost with a friend can cut your expenses by 50%. If you have a few buddies that will be coming to the festivities, then you could see savings of more than 70% when you use your funds to split the cost of hotel and travel. These standard costs are the real drains of your pride budget. If you don’t know of anyone, this is the time to sharpen your social skills.
My mother taught me that you should always make a few buddies in other cities that are on a non sexual basis. Her thinking was that if you wanted a cheap vacation, they would be more than happy to have you. This wisdom has paid dividends for me. You may want to re-evaluate the chat request from the guy who you are not romantically interested in. He could be an ally in the future.

You can also post a message to a social network or chat site to find out if they would be interested in sharing expenses during the weekend. There are many brothers that would love to come. Be sure to let them know that there are no expectations otherwise. You will be able to enjoy the weekend, save money and become make a friend.

BYOB

Alcohol can add hundreds of dollars to your pride budget and when the drinks are flowing you may not even realize how much you are spending. In my experience, you pay more money at the bars and restaurants. Keeping this in mind before you start traveling will enable you to take some steps to ensure the drinks don’t stop flowing.

Atlanta has many discount packaged good stores. These places sell everything. And during the Labor Day Weekend, you will find lots of specials on popular drinks. Last year, there were cases of Bacardi Bottles for $10. I purchased 3 in the variety box and had more than enough alcohol for the entire weekend. I even gave the majority of it away because I had my fill.

You can also check around with others at your hotel to find out who would like to spilt a case of alcohol. I doubt you will find anyone that will refuse. By having a drink before you arrive to the club or dine, can save you more money than you would realize.

$54 Hotel Rate at the Fairfield Inn and Suites

This is no gimmick. The website KingSizeBrothaz.net negotiates a group rate for hotel rooms every year. The Fairfield Inn and Suites at the Perimeter Center includes breakfast, a pool, two telephone lines and more amenities than you are going to find anywhere in Atlanta for the rate. The $54 rate is for a room with two double beds. King Size Rooms are $59 per night. Did I forget to tell you that the MARTA Station is beside the hotel ? So you are only a train ride from all the action in the city.

The discount is open to anyone. Last year, the Perimeter Center became the hotspot for social connections due to the vast amount of people who decided to stay there. We suggest you call the hotel now to book your room. Visit the link to make a reservation – http://www.KingVasion.com/hotel.htm .

It Doesn’t Cost Much

A few simple tips and strategies can save you big money this Labor Day weekend. Remember there will be bills when you get back so make sure that you don’t break the bank but have a great time without having to pinch pennies.
